2006 Audi R10 TDI Race Car
Most of you racing fans know this car as the "Truth of 24" race car. The "Truth" behind this is that Audi has had some stig against Peugeot when it comes to Le Mans racing. One year, Peugeot would win. Another year, Audi would win. Another year, Peugeot would win, and on and on and on. Almost every year, both automotive companies have been improving their Le Mans racers in order to take the crown. In 2006, Audi came out with this, the R10 TDI. It was the first Twin-Turbodiesel powered racing machine to be used during the 24 heures de Le Mans. During it's first year, it won the event. In fact, until 2009, the mighty R10 TDI won each year. The engine, as I mentioned before, is Twin-Turbodiesel V12 engine producing 642 horsepower. It will do over 210 MPH. Now, you might think that unbelievable, but this car weighs 925 kg.; that's about 2,039 lbs., making it very light. I could easily tell of it's lightness when in the corners. Any hard turn a regular race car has to brake for, this car doesn't need to. It's like the Zonda R. Scratch that, it's better than the Zonda R when it comes to speed, handling and aerodynamics. You'll have to handle it carefully though. One sharp turn, and you'll be in the ditch. Other than that, you'll be winning some high-end races with this car. But, in order to do that, you'll have to buy it first, and that'll be hard since it costs 4.7 million Credits. And that's not the only thing. You see, Audi doesn't want any amateur driving this car, so you'll have to be a level 23 in order to buy it. But, once you do, you'll be driving a car that changed the future of Audi and Le Mans racing.
