2012 Pagani C9 Huarya

And here it is! After weeks of teasers and spy shots, Pagani have finally released photos of their Zonda replacement. The all new C9 Huarya still keeps the Zonda flare, but now has front LED lights, some Zonda R styling, Gullwing doors, jet-like fins, and air conditioners placed in the most reasonable of places.

Under the hood of this italian beast is a new 6.0-liter 700+ horsepower Twin-Turbocharged AMG V12. 0 to 60 is done in 3.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 230 MPH. Not mention that this car weighs less than 3,000 lbs. making it very light. This car also comes with loads of carbon fiber, some Italian-rich luxury, and some very powerful brakes which give it the possibility of braking from 124 MPH to 0 in an eye-popping 4.3 seconds, just like the Zonda. This is an epic turnout from what car magazines describe as the potential Ferrari-beater. No word on the prices yet, but expect it to be very expensive. The car will make its official debut in Geneva in March.

Diesel = Powaahh!!!

2011 Audi Q7 V12 TDI

Do not underestimate diesel powered cars! They may not have a lot of horsepower or go as fast as regular petrol cars, put when it comes to torque and mileage, they defy all odds. For example, this crazy SUV you see in front of you is Audi's Twin-Turbodiesel V12 powered Q7. It's not the fastest V12-powered car ever with a 0 to 60 time of 5.5 seconds and a top speed of just 171 MPH. It's not the most powerful V12 ever with 500 horsepower produced from its engine. But, as for torque, it shatters most V12's out of the water. The number: 738 lb.-ft. of torque. That's more torque that you get from the Pagani Zonda R! As for mileage, it gets 21 MPG which might not sound all that impressive, but compared to most V12's, that's pretty good.

2012 Mercedes-Benz C350 CDI Estate

Here's another example: the Mercedes C350 CDI. Under the hood is a 3.5-liter Turbodiesel V6 producing 231 horsepower. Again, not the most powerful V6 in the world and it's not the fastest with a 0 to 60 time of 6.4 seconds. But, it gets 400 lb.-ft. of torque. That's more than you get in a V8 S-Class. Not to mention, it's cheaper and more fuel efficient than an S-Class to, valued at about $30,000 with over 30 MPG. That's incredible! Diesel cars are quite powerful when it comes to torque. In fact, if your diesel has, let's say about 700 lb.-ft. of torque, you could have the ability to tow a 160 ton Boeing 747. It's true! Volkswagen have done it with their V10 TDI Touareg. C9 Teaser #2

Another teaser featuring the all new C9 Pagani has been released. This time, we get a sneak peek of what the interior for this mighty replacement will look like. It looks almost the same as the interior for the Zonda, but there may be a few differences in the leather and the lining. I'll have more on that later. Also, it seems that the C9 may have found its name, or has it? Well, there are two choices in the works. First, there's Huarya which is Argentinian for "wind", since the founder of Pagani, Horatio Pagani, is indeed from Argentina. Then, there's Deus Venti, which is latin for "God of the Winds". So, as you can see here, whatever name they pick, we'll know that this is all new C9 will drive faster than the wind (metaphorically speaking). Check out the teaser below.

An Animal in its Natural Habitat

2011 Ferrari 458 Challenge

That animal is a horse: a prancing horse yet at least. The all-new Ferrari 458 Challenge racer was seen strutting its stuff on the Fiorano race track recently, and as you will see, it is very fast. It's still powered by the same 562 horsepower 4.5-liter Ferrari V8 engine, but it's much lighter with racing tires, roll cage, and racing suspension. In the end, you have the fastest car ever go round the Fiorano track thrashing the record holder, a V12 Ferrari 599 GTO. Check out the video below and see just how fast this horse is.

Four-Cylinder Rubbish!!!

2010 Ferrari F60

It seems like the Formula One League want to make some changes to the cars in 2013. Instead of having massive V8 engines power the racing cars, they suggest having turbocharged 4-cylinder engines power the cars in order to save weight, petrol, and some green. Although it seemed like a good idea to the heads of the board, one member thought it was absolute rubbish, and you can guess from the picture where he's from. Ferrari CEO and the former president of the Formula One Team Association (FOTA), Luca di Montezemolo, was outraged by the idea of having turbo four engines power the F1 cars. You have to understand that the only engines Ferrari will make are V8 engines, V12 engines, and Twin-Turbocharged V8 engines for the future Enzo replacement. They have never created a four-cylinder engine for any of their cars, and they never plan to. You'd think Mr. Montezemolo was the only against this, but it seems Mercedes-Benz has joined the Fray as well. Mercedes-Benz motorsports chief Robert Haug notes that the change in engines would be uneconomical. The reason is that if they do change to four-cylinder engines, it will cost more money and more headache designing it and tuning it while they could just stick to the ones they have now. This has been common in F1. First in the late 60's to 80's,  Formula One cars were powered by V12 engines. Then in the 90's, V10 engines were used. In the new millenium, V8's were introduced. There's been a constant dying down of cylinders since the beginning of F1, and this is not good. According to Jeremy Clarkson, when it comes to cylinders, "More is better". Let's see if Ferrari and Mercedes-Benz can have other racing teams go up against this. What do you think? Should F1 stick with V8's or is it time for a change? Step Aside, Zonda!

2010 Pagani Zonda R (Gran Turismo 5)

For the past year, Pagani have been working on the Zonda's replacement codenamed the C9. The Zonda R was actually a race-ready prototype of the upcoming supercar.

We've seen pictures of the car in the works and were given specs of what engine the car will have: a 6.0-liter 690 horsepower AMG V12 engine with 738 lb.-ft. of torque. Besides that, we haven't received anything else. However, now, Pagani have released a teaser clip of the supercar. It features Pagani CEO, Horatio Pagani, sipping a cup of coffee at his home. Right beside the cup is a small 1:43 scale model of the actual car. We might not see the actual car, but we can see that it still keeps Zonda tradition with the centrally-mounted exhaust system. The C9 is expected to make its worldwide debut in March at the Geneva Motor Show.

2010 Aston Martin V12 Vantage (Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit)

Aston Martin has been known for building cars with a presence, preferably ones with 12 cylinders. Their latest and greatest creation, the V12 Vantage, emulates that presence thanks to its custom rear exhaust pipes and 6.0-liter 510 horsepower V12 engine. That engine has been around the company for centuries. The DB9, DBS, and Rapide have used it as well. It's even softened the hearts of racing fans when they hear it coming from a race car like this...

2010 Lola-Aston Martin Gulf LMP1

Aston's V12 racing machine uses the same 6.0-liter V12 engine that the V12 Vantage uses, but only for racing purposes. Due to FIA regulations, the engine had to be a little bit more powerful than the original. So, instead of producing 510 horsepower, it produces 650 horsepower. That is impressive though because Aston Martin doesn't believe in turbochargers or superchargers any more. This engine is purely natural. And because it's lightweight (only 900kg), it's very fast. It was able to show Audi up at a couple of 24-hour races. So what happens when you combine a V12 exotic with a V12 racer? Only Aston Martin knows, which is why they posted a video of what would happen. Check it out.

What you are looking at is the future of Le Mans racing for Aston Martin. Before, they had a hardtop racer. But now, they've gone open-top. Well, this is just a sketch of what the car is supposed to look like, but expect it to look similarly like this in real life. No stats on the car have come out yet, but expect it to have an Aston Martin V12 engine placed inside it. A name for this car hasn't been revealed either, but Aston Martin is giving you the chance to name the all new Le Mans Racer. In Memoriam

Christmas is 4 days away, which also means the end of the year is upon us. Most of us will be making it to the new year, but, sadly some of us won't, and this include cars. So, as we celebrate Jesus' birth and the beginning of a new year, let us take some time to honor those we have lost.

2010 Dodge Viper SRT-10 Convertible

We shall surely miss this venomous snake. It was one of the greatest American Supercars of all time, right behind the coveted Ford GT. No one will forget that aggressive front nose, that deadly 8.4-liter 600 horsepower V10 Viper engine, those many warning symbols on how this car could indeed kill you, and the immense speed this snake delivers. Even though a new one is planned for 2013, there will never be any new one that will be any better than this. This car will be missed.

2. Lamborghini Murcielago
Ahh, the great raging bull, and this is her final year, as a new replacement has come for her. But, alas, no one will perfectly replace her though. That harmonious 6.5-liter V12 sound, the unbelievable grip coming from its patent-pended all-wheel drive system, the brilliance of her rear vents lifting up at high speeds; this car was literally a baby that has turned into an angel and has wiggled into our hearts. She will be missed.

2008 Audi RS6

Now, Audi has confirmed a new RS6 for this new A6 that has just come out, but I don't think it will be as crazy and fun-loving as this one. I mean, a Twin-Turbocharged V10 powered 580 horsepower station-wagon? That's crazy!! Leave it Audi to do that stuff. But, besides the craziness, this wagon did handle like a supercar and was very good in the snow. It will be missed.

2010 Pontiac G8 GT

Pontiac has been with us since the 1920's and they've produced great muscle cars ever since. But the one that came close to our hearts is this one: the mighty G8. It's Australian cousin, the Holden Commodore, has claimed more Bathurst races than any GM ever made. It's British relative, the Vauxhall VXR8, has become a prized possession to The Stig for being his portable drifting machine. Here, it's been hailed as a muscle car done right. The handling was phenomenal, the power was raging, the ride was excitement. It's made us laugh, it's made us cry. It will be deeply missed.

The Specs are Out

Jota or Aventador, Lamborghini's newest V12 monster, the LP700-4 is letting all its secrets out. Based off a secret pre-order page on the Lamborghini website, the car will have as much as 690 horsepower in it's new 6.5-liter V12 engine that is connected to an all new 7-speed ISR (Independent Shifting Rod) gearbox, which is supposed to be lighter and shift much quicker than a regular dual-clutch. Other secrets include the car doing 0 to 60 in less than 3 seconds on its way to a top speed of 217 MPH. This will be on quick raging bull. It's also a little lighter with a weight measure of 3,472 lbs. There's a lot of stuff about this car that I can't go into, so I'll just leave some pics here for you.

Remember my teaser? I mentioned that it's not from the game that you thought it was. No, it's not from Gran Turismo 5, but honestly I wish it was in GT5. It's actually from a game that I haven't picked up in a while and involves us doing something on YouTube to get it. So, what is this car?

It's the 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster!

This car is honestly one of my favorite cars out of the Super Sports Pack. By the way, the other three cars from Bugatti, Porsche, and Gumpert, will be here next Tuesday. Anyway, I did pay tribute to the mighty Murcielago, but NFS thought it wasn't enough. So, they released this exclusive roadster into the wild. In real life, they only made about 50 of these, each one no different than the other. Other than the special orange underlay which made it look like a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, it is somewhat lighter but definitely more powerful than a standard Murcielago Roadster. That old 6.5-liter V12 engine now produces 650 horsepower, about as much as the ultra-exclusive Reventon. 0 to 60 is reached in 3.4 seconds on its way to a top speed of 205 MPH. 

Such Grace

There's just something about this car that makes me so tearful; the fact that there will never be a Lamborghini as great as this one. Those rear vents that lift up after speeding at 160 MPH just make the car look so much cooler and perform so much better than usual. The all-wheel drive system is so stabile and has a lot of grip, especially in the corners. This car is a mental and a very good piece of work. I'm glad we were able to get it.

Racing Past Traffic

This car is indeed one of the best Lamborghini's I've ever driven in this game. It just looks so graceful and performs gracefully as well. What I love best about this car is the harmonious concierto that is delivered from that handcrafted V12 engine through the trapezoidal exhaust. It's just astonishing. Honestly, if there were any of these cars left on sale right now, I would buy one and drive one in real life. But, alas, I'm stuck driving it in Seacrest County. But, hey, better here than nothing, right?
